CCF is an internationally recognized centre for the conservation and management of cheetahs with headquarters in Namibia, Africa. Internationally, CCF is a founding member of the Global Cheetah Forum and its executive director is one of six core members in the Cat Specialist Group of the World Conservation Union (IUCN). CCF has run a program in Kenya since 2001. Cheetah conservation programs are also underway in South Africa, Botswana and Iran. CCF's work to save the wild cheetah and its wilderness habitat is successful because it targets all aspects of the cheetah's plight, through education and public outreach, applied conservation biology and management, public policy, and science and research.
